Promoting education and awareness of this life-saving tool.
Naloxone is an antidote for opiate overdose and, when administered in time, can save lives. Naloxone nasal spray works by blocking opioid drugs, such as heroin and methadone, from attaching to opioid receptors in the brain.
As a partner with Public Health Seattle King County and the University of Washington Alcohol and Drug Abuse Institute, the Kelley-Ross Foundation supports the use of “Take Home Naloxone Kits” with online educational tools including the state’s #1 Naloxone Training Video.
